The fact that October is Stem Cell Awareness Month was raised to my attention by the power of social media.
After seeing post after post on Instagram about people calling for people to join the Stem Cell Register with the hope that the one person needed to save their life might just join, I decided to look into this issue further and was shocked by what I found. This is when I decided to base my final year documentary around this issue and I intend to raise awareness and inform people about this pivotal issue.
